Privacy

Squishy Robots is not open yet. This page says what happens today, and it will be updated before anything new is collected.

Squishy Robots is for adults, aged 18 or older. It is not meant for children, and it collects nothing from anyone on purpose, children included.

What stays on your device

When you say you are 18 or older, your browser keeps a small note of that (in its local storage) so you are asked only once. The note never leaves your device. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

The camera

A Squishy Robot can hatch from a barcode. The camera is asked for only when you tap Scan, and the picture is read in your browser, to find the barcode's number. It is never recorded or sent anywhere. A typed word works just as well.

What the server keeps

There are no accounts, no forms, no cookies and no analytics on this site. Like any website, the web server keeps a standard log of requests (the address that asked, the page, the time and the browser name). It is used to keep the site running and secure, and it is not sold or shared.

Later

When the game opens, accounts will be optional and only for saving your Squishy Robots. This page will say exactly what they keep before they exist.
